There are many reasons why a pet may need a blood transfusion. At AEHNT, our critically ill patients have access to the AEHNT Blood Bank.
Our blood bank mission is:
To provide a reliable, screened and humane source of veterinary blood products for canines and felines.
To provide education to hospital staff and clients about blood product donation and usage.
To ensure blood products are used properly to best benefit the patients of Animal Emergency Hospital of North Texas.
We are currently only working with in-house donors but are excited to expand our team of canine and feline Lifesavers in the future. Call (817) 410-2273 for more information.
